My name is Arturo Martinez. I’m originally from Cuernavaca, Mexico, which is known as the “city of eternal spring” because of its mild weather all year round. I moved to the Netherlands two years ago to pursue a master’s degree in Epidemiology in Groningen.
In September 2025 I started my PhD under the supervision of Bas Heijmans, focusing on multi-modal analysis of circulation-based omics to stratify Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease (ASCVD) risk.
